Let's dig deeper into our
martial arts instruction together.
Are you just beginning your
martial arts training? Have you already invested time and sweat, for months or years?
Whether a beginner or veteran, there are new skills to develop, different angles to teach, fresh insights to discover and apply.
The 'Practice Karate' Blog - learn from my posts and articles, and participate by adding your comments.
Training, teaching and applying. These posts and articles are inspired by the day-in and day-out training, the thinking about and discussing martial arts. Inspired by over ten years of active training.
A martial art may be considered an "individual sport" but no way have I learned it on my on. And if you've trained I know you haven't either. So click on the title of a post or article and add your insights.

A monthly newsletter bringing you
This e-zine is my chance to show ignorance, I mean brilliance- no, diligence-, and work through different ways of looking at martial arts, with help from readers' participation. I hope this includes you!
in-depth articles.
I find (mostly) two groups of people training martial arts. Those who are familiar with only one style, one way of looking at things. They may have had only one instructor. If they ended up with a good school, no problem.
They tend to look at the martial arts world as,
"me way good! you way bad! ugha! ugha!"
Alot of them. (I sure did!)
I'll include myself in the second group. We've been exposed to other styles of martial arts, have trained in more than one way of looking at things. Myself, two Japanese styles and now one Korean.
Follow this link for my full martial arts training history.
Am I (we) better than the first group? Why heck no, not necessarily. I do bring an open-mindedness about martial arts to my training and the Sweat Blood! ezine that others may not have had the chance to develop.

Go ahead and sign up for my e-zine here. I'll be joining you once a month with in-depth articles and I encourage you to add your thoughts to every one; all of us readers will be grateful.
